"Treating the effect and not the cause
cannot "cure" the veins"

A 6% solution of sodium salicylate in a hydroglycerin vehicle is
perfectly suited to eliminating reticular veins from view. The treatment
of spider veins leaves no permanent hyperpigmentation and complications
are negligible in comparison with those caused by other sclerosing
solutions. Intra-vessel accumulations of blood are also minimised.
Moreover, a feature of the solution is that it exerts consistent effects
in all patients.

Right leg treated with 6% BS. The veins
have disappeared from view while the side-effects of the treatment are
negligible.

Sodium salicylate in a hydroglycerin vehicle enables unsightly veins
and telangiectasias in the foot (phlebectatic corona) to be treated
without risk.

Telangiectasias can easily be eliminated by injecting the solution of
sodium salicylate in a hydroglycerin vehicle in concentrations of 8% and
10%. The 8% solution is obtained by mixing 1 ml of 6% solution with 1 ml
of 10% solution.
