Phlebotherapy and Timedsurgery™ of Couperose

 |
Injectable telangiectasias of the face are a
three-dimensional disorder and, as such, need to be reduced in diameter.
Failure to inject these telangiectasias means that a permanent result
cannot be achieved. The solution injected reduces the haemodynamic
pressure on the superficial vessels, which can then be completely
eliminated from view by means of Timed® pulsed microcoagulation or laser.
The amount of sodium salicylate in a buffered hydroglycerin vehicle that
is injected varies from 2 to 6 ml per cheek. The concentration of the
solution is 6%, 8% and 10%.
The solution is well tolerated and risk-free. When the veins of the
nose or eyelids are injected, the angular vein should be compressed with
a finger in proximity to the internal canthus. This vein is normally
valved, though anatomical variations may be encountered. At the end of
the session, a cortisone lotion is applied. Reducing the calibre of the
non-visible veins reduces the superficial tension, which is revealed by
the speed at which blood issues from the injection site. When treating
couperose with injectable telangiectasias, as in valvular insufficiency
of the lower limbs, it is essential to ensure that a sufficient quantity
of regenerating solution reaches the non-visible vessels. |
|

|
After a few sessions of phlebotherapy, the telangiectasias appear
markedly reduced and are eliminated completely by means of
Timedsurgery™. Treatment of the
face must always be completed by means of a physical method. In the
lower limbs, by contrast, all the vessels can be eliminated from view
exclusively by means of three-dimensional regenerative phlebotherapy.
The application of physical methods in order to eliminate veins and
telangiectasias of the limbs is both irrational and harmful.

Timedsurgical treatment is simple and economical, and allow telangiectatic capillaries to be eliminated without scarring (Capurro 1983). The operator sets the Timed® apparatus to the pulsed mode, 4/9 hundredths of a second, coagulation , and regulates the power to 7 Watts.timedchirurgia (Capurro 1983) metodica ideata dal chirurgo plastico

The Operator generates the programmed
pulsed emission by pushing the pedal and simultaneously lowers the
electromaniple until it has crossed the telangiectasia. The point
penetrates the dermis during the emission. (EM 10 Green).
